(BBC News) Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says nothing will deter him and that Israel will continue its fight against Hamas “until victory”.
“We eliminated the master murderer Yahya Sinwar,” he says in a video posted on social media. Sinwar, a chief architect of the October 7, 2023, attack on Israel, was killed by Israeli troops on Wednesday.
“I said we are in the war of resurrection, and we continue forward until the end,” Netanyahu adds.
The video comes after a spokesperson for Netanyahu said a drone was launched towards the PM’s home in Caesarea, northern Israel, though he was not at home at the time and there were no casualties.
