To be (a subscriber) or not to be – that is the question

Having access to a trustworthy, accurate, and transparent source of news is incredibly important these days.

However, I recognize that many of you are having difficulty deciding whether it makes sense to subscribe – or continue subscribing – to fact-focused news media platform BIG-Media.ca.

To help you save time with this crucial decision, I have compiled a list of advantages and disadvantages. You are welcome …

PROS:

  • You will have access to extremely accurate news on the most pressing matters, written by a team consisting of mostly accomplished scientists with high integrity.
  • You will be far less likely to humiliate yourself by parroting the agenda-driven words of politicians, medical officials, and climate activists … only to find out that those words were wrong, Like, really wrong.
  • You will enjoy being part of a vitriol-free community of critical thinkers.
  • You can publish your own comments and posts on our site … without fear of being attacked by trolls or having your posts deleted for being overly accurate.
  • Our BIG Bulletin newsletters will help keep you on top of the key issues.
  • You will enjoy occasional laughs (and some eyerolls) from reading content under the BIG Chuckle category.
  • Your boosted intelligence will translate to higher career earnings, which will WAY more than make up for the subscription cost of between $1.92 and $2.95 USD per week.

CONS:

  • Some of your friends will be annoyed when you politely correct them and provide links to critical context regarding the topics they are so excited about.
  • We do not publish enough content to enable you to spend most of your waking hours reading the news.
  • You will have to replace your running/hiking shoes more often … because you will actually use them with all the free time that comes with not being freaked out and glued to your screens.
  • If you enjoy pointing out mistakes in media coverage, you will not have much fun on our site.
  • You will need to carve about 45 seconds out of your busy week to sign up.
  • As the smartest person in the room every time, it will be difficult to remain humble.

•. •. •

I hope that I have made the decision a little easier for you 😉
