If you are rooting for the National Football League team on which Taylor Swift’s BF Travis Kelce plays, any of the following cheers are perfectly acceptable:
“Go Kansas City!”
“Go KC!”
“Go Chiefs!”
However, unless you are cheering for a rock band formed in 1973 or you are giving Dorothy directions on a trip home from the Land of Oz, you may not say:
“Go Kansas!”
Kansas City is located in the state of Missouri.
