(BBC News) Three people have been killed and four injured in a suspected knife attack in the western German city of Solingen, police say.
- Celebrations were under way to mark the 650th anniversary of the city’s foundation when the attack happened.
- German news site Bild says a man was randomly stabbing passers-by during the festival.
- The attacker is believed to have fled the scene, and police have launched a manhunt.
