Have your fun online … but don’t forget to visit Planet Reality on occasion

Sure, it’s fun to play around online and have Google tell you what you WANT to hear — The ‘bias machine’: How Google tells you what you want to hear

It sure makes us feel smart and virtuous.

But it is very important to drop by BIG-Media.ca and be exposed to what you NEED to hear from time to time.

Imagine how much stress and embarrassment you could have avoided if, as COVID-19 raced around the world, you would have known that it was only a major threat to very unhealthy people, as we told you early on — COVID context – how concerned should we be about dying from this virus?, Assessing the relative lethality of COVID-19: a Canadian case study.

Imagine how much money you would have now had you not donated so much to groups claiming to be helping fight the “existential climate crisis” and general environmental doom highlighted by key indicators such as polar bear population (Polar bear population analysis presents balanced picture ) and the “Great Pacific Garbage Patch” .

Imagine how good you would feel if, instead of thinking that western industry was destroying the atmosphere with out-of-control CO2 emissions, you were aware that North America has reduced emissions over the last 20 years through technological innovation and a shift away from coal and toward natural gas as a primary power source — It’s time to axe the c(r)ap and start discussing our progress on emissions.

Imagine how much positive impact you could have on the world if you were presented with opportunities to think beneath the surface on important matters — Really nice people are a really big problem, My war against really nice people – Part 2.

Suffice to say, things are often not as they seem, particularly if you get your information from news organizations that use sensationalism and expert testimony to trick you into believing you are well informed and keep you coming back for more (Deciphering how (almost all) news media organizations get things so horribly wrong ) … or from simple internet searches.

Kamala Harris is definitely not the dumbest politician in the U.S., as a quick review of her bio — Early life and career of Kamala Harris  — or watching her performance in the presidential debate would tell you.

And Donald Trump is definitely not the most corrupt politician in the U.S. — U.S. jury finds Senator Menendez guilty in bribery trial.

Calm down, folks. And join the movement toward critical thought and constructive dialogue.
